Although a small place, Goa is one of the most precious gems of India oozing the biggest charm. Baga Beach offers an experience of a stunning nightlife, whereas Candolim Beach is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunbath. One can also explore some water activities at Calangute Beach or plan a trip to Anjuna Beach to eye some unusual rock formations. Every beach of Goa has something different to offer.

 

Andaman & Nicobar

 If Goa is the beach paradise of India then Andaman & Nicobar is the beach capital of India. The beaches here are unique with its sparkling blue water, and are far from imagination. Kerala

Backwaters in India

Thick groves of coconut trees blanketing the backwaters in India are a beautiful sight to behold. Kerala and Goa are the first two names that pop up when one mentions the backwaters of India. The Kerala backwaters are a chain of brackish lagoons that lie parallel along the Malabar Coast, which is the local name for the Arabian Sea Coast.

 

Kuttanad in Kerala

Connected by canals and channels, the backwaters of Kuttanad in Kerala form a beautiful maze of backwaters. It's a part of Alleppey, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts of Kerala. Kuttanad Backwaters will take you through the rural lifestyle and culture of the region.

 

Alappuzha in Kerala

This is the most famed destination in Kerala for backwaters. The district is best known for its Kanyakumari Lake and its beautiful network of canals and channels between the backwaters, which earned it the name ‘Venice of the East’. Houseboats are readily available in Alleppey to explore the backwaters.

 

Goa

Not many people are aware of the fact that Goa too is a popular destination for backwater in India. The experience here is completely different to that of Kerala backwaters. The houseboats of Goa are elegantly crafted out of lightweight wood and are fully equipped with modern amenities. What makes the houseboats here different from that of Kerala is that the houseboats here are floating pubs. For those interested in cruising along the beautiful backwaters of Goa, houseboats ply the Chapora River in Siolim and take you through beautiful routes offering a sneak peek into the life and culture of the locals.
